The
existing area was totally gutted, walls removed and structural work completed.
The client demanded the final finishes and architectural style to be of the
highest standard.
Extraordinary use of timbers was employed. Timbers used were
myrtle, Tasmanian oak, blackwood & sassafras. Strips of Myrtle veneer
were glued to the walls as skirting and Myrtle panels were used in the suspended
ceiling grid.
The reception entrance windows and door were constructed from fine
timber beads. Strength was gained by adding plywoods panelled side steps, using
mortice & tenon and dovetail joints.
The door handles were constructed from
timber dowel and wrapped with a leather grip.
Special sand blasted glass was
used in full height glazed doors throughout the offices to provide privacy. |
